New Years Eve and Customer Appreciation

The Riverside and Dirty Martini Lounge will be open for its last night for the season New Years Eve. 
Lots of things hapening. From 4p-8p we will have a 3 course dinner with a complimentary glass of wine from 4p-8p check our my website for menu.  New Years Menu Reservations are recommended.  Customer Appreciation from 9p-12p.  Live Music with Dave Wilson and Company, Discounted drinks, free appetizers.  Hope you all can join us.  Mike and I would like to thank everyone for their patronage at the Riverside and the Dirty Martini Lounge.  If we don't see you on or before the 31st we will see you next Spring when we open again in April.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

November 19th Wine Dinner

Fall colors are here!

For all of you outdoors people who like to see the fall colors our season is just starting!  The colors are beautiful.  Come to the Riverside and enjoy our Music Friday and Sunday and enjoy the day.  Sunday is suppose to be in 70's for a great day on an outing!

Great weekend for music coming up.  Friday Night is Alpenglow a first time playing at the Riverside.  This a Duo out of Minneapolis that plays original Folk.  Sunday is Steve Fessler a local favorite.  We even have the crew from Iowa coming.  We now have enclosed the west deck so it will stay nice and cozy.

Steve Fessler will play for a Special Event Sunday.  The Iowa crew will be here Sunday night, so they are gonna have some fun at the Riverside Sunday with Steve and Mary!!!!!  Unfortunately I will not be there and will miss all of them.  Next time!  Luv you guys!

AlpenGlow Friday 9p-11p Sept. 30th

Brian Laidlaw Duo called AlpenGlow will be playing Friday night.  He is a new musician here at the Riverside, it will be his first time playing.  Great folk duo. 

Facing West Tonight

Tonight Facing West will be playing at the Riverside from 9p-11p.  Hope to see you all here.  Don't forget Friday night is Martini Night from 9p-11p  Buy one get second half price!  I think we make some of the best Martini's ever!   Can't wait to here Dave and the group play.  We now have put the temporary walls up on the West deck so it is toasty warm!  That's where the band will be playing. 

Lanesboro's 25th Trail Anniversary Kick-Off at the museum

It's going to be a busy weekend!  Tonight from 4p-6p is the 25th Trail Anniversary kick-off at the museum.  The director of Parks and Trail from DNR, Courtland Nelson and Tom Landwehr, DNR Commissioner will speak along with John Edman, the Director of Explore Minneesota Tourism.  The mayor, City administrator and a few others including  my self will also speak there tonight.  The Irish minstrels will play from 4p-6p and afterwads they are coming to play at the Riverside from 9p-11p.  We are putting the walls up on the west deck, so it should be nice and warm.  I think fall is here.  Where did the summer go. 

Live Music Tonight, Friday the 9th Following the Radio Show!

Where do the days go! 
Tonight Following the radio show The Riverside has a new musician playing.  Highly recommended by the crew from the Radio Show.  Heidi Dybing say's he is awesome.  I am excited.  His name is Nick Danielson and accompanying him will be Collin Johnson.  Music will start following the Radio Show at 9p.   Specials this weekend are Ahi Tuna with a spicy seaweed salad and Grilled airline Chicken breast drizzled with balsamic glaze.  Hope to see you all at the Riverside on the Root

Irish Minstrels Tonight!

Where is our Summer going.  Tonight Irish Minstrels are Playing  from 5p-9p so put on your kicking shoes and come on down to the Riverside.  I just love Brenda and the Group, they are lots of fun and they will keep you feet tapping.  This will be our last Wednesday night of Music for the Season.  Although we are going to continue Sept and October Friday nights 9p-11p.  I'm really hoping I can get them another night or two then.   

Friday night Michelle Lynn will be at the Riverside from 9p-11p,  She is a great folk singer based out of Iowa. 

Sunday 5p-9p  One of my first and original singers from the beginning Steve Fessler from Wabasha.  Again one of my fav's is the Old Triangle.

Patchoulli's at the Riverside tonight!

Tonight will be Patchoulli's last night for the season, I am so sad but can't wait to here them again!  Bruce and Julie are AWESOME!

Tonight Steve Fessler is playing at the Riverside.  Steve has been playing with us since we started our music 5 years ago.  What a great musician,  My favorite has got to be his A cappella.  It has been a busy week.  I have been really busy harvesting my gardens for the restaurant.  Here it is already Wednesday and I have to get ready for the weekend yet.  Sunday The Beef Slough Boys will be at the Riverside.  They are always alot of fun.  I love the Base viola and mandolin!

Another Great weekend of Music!

Where does the time go.  Here is our line up for the weekend.  Tonight (Friday) from 9p-11p Facing West will be at the Riverside following the Radio Show (Over the Back Fence).  Sunday One of our favorites (5p-9p) and Mikes good friend from Waseca, Kozy Lil Duo's, and Wednesday Steve Fessler, (5p-9p) one of our very first musicians that started playing at the Riverside in 2006.  Old and new faces this weekend.  I think that's why I like our music.  Facing West is a new trio that was a development from Dave Wilson's band Houseblend.  Kozy and Mike go way back....   It's great when we get to see these musicians play as it becomes our time to enjoy!

Food this weekend is great!  We are serving our famous Grilled Tuna Shushi and Grilled Lamb Chops.  Of course don't forget our Signature Prime.

Joe Price Live at the Riverside!

What a great weekend coming up.  Of Course it is Buffalo Bill day celebration.  Lots of activities happening in town.  This weekend we are featuring Bison Ribeye Steak!   Then  to finish our very busy weekend Joe Price is Coming Sunday from 5p-9p.  Joe and Vicki are the best!   I wonder which hat Joe will have on?  Hope to see you all there. 

Another weekend and lots of fun!

Great grill specials this weekend.  Of course our signature Prime Rib, Salmon with Salsa verde and Avocados and Elk Tenderloin with Rapple wine sauce.  Our wine used to make the sauce comes from Lanesboro's local winery, Scenic Valley Winery.  Sunday night a great night of music with Steve Fessler, one of our favorites and Wednesday with Charlie Waner a great local musician from Canton.  Hope to see you all at the Riverside on the Root. 

Another Great weekend with Music!

We have a fantastic line up of music this weekend.  We start with the "Beef Slough Boys" tonight  (Friday)from 9p-11p.  I like to say this is down home jammin!  Their base Viola, Mandelin, banjo etc.....  puts you right there - on our patio and decks overlooking the River!

Then Sunday 5p-9p another one of my Favorites "The Patchoulis"  the powerful contagious chemistry of the duo Julie Patchouli and master guitarist Bruce Hecksel will keep you entertained all night.  Can't wait to seem them!

ALERT!

Yes it is weather!  The Beef Slough Boys will not be at the Riverside tonight, due to the weather.  But they will be here this Friday 9p-11p on July 22.  Come join us for a much cooler night of entertainment on our patio.

My favorite this weekend!

I am so excited, we are serving Lobster this weekend!  My favorite.  Great music coming up, Sunday 5p-9p Dave Williams and Wednesday Beef Slough Boys.  Oh yes and don't forget Wednesday the 20th is the Model T Tour in Lanesboro.  We will have 250 Model T's Lined up downtown for you to see from 11a-1p.

Warm weather, great music and the 4th of July!

What a great weekend coming up. Weather is going to be warm, so think about canoeing and tubing with Root River Outfitters.  We have a great band coming in, Facing West Sunday 5p-9p.  Fantastic grill specials, Grilled Atlantic Salmon with an avocado Salsa Verde and Grilled Boneless Pork Loin with a Fresh Peach Chutney.  Have a great 4th Everyone!  Oh yeah and Jasmin just told me we are doing Blueberry Martinis in the Dirty Martini Lounge.

Fathers Day and Music Tonight

Happy Fathers Day to all!  Tonight our featured music is:  Beef Slough Boys.  Rain or Shine.  I'm so sick of the rain.  We will be placing them underneath the covered deck if it is raining.  Arts in the Park in Lanesboro today, lots of activities.

Yes we are having music tonight (Wednesday) at the Riverside.  Steve Fessler.   Looks like it is going to be clear and no rain!   Still getting pretty sick of this rainy weather. 

Where did the week go?

Here it is already Friday and I have not had time to give all of you a heads up for the weekend.  Tonight we have Live music from 9:30-11:30 with the Dave Williams Band from Owatonna, who is also playing at the Lanesboro Radio show tonight from 7:30p-9p and Sunday one of our favorite locals, The Irish Minstrels from 5p-9p.  Great weekend specials:  Of course our signature Prime Rib, Grilled shrimp skewers with pineapple-avocado salsa and a Garlic marinated steak served with all the trimmings.  Hope to see you at the Riverside

I am again so excited!  Patchouli's will be at the Riverside tomorrow night (Wednesday June 8th) from 5p-9p  Can't wait.

Its the Rhubarb Fest in Lanesboro

What a great weekend coming up at the Riverside!  We have live music Friday night from 9:30-11:30 with one of my Favorite musicians from Wabasha, Steve Fessler.  He has a great mix of his own music, Irish folk, blues and rock. Sunday from 5p-9p The Kozy Lil Duo from Waseca  (who will keep you entertained with their humor) is playing, then...at  7p (I am so excited) we even have the Famous Rhubarb Sisters coming in to sing us a few songs about Rhubarb.  We of course are featuring RHUBARB!  We have a RHUBARB martini of our own infused Vodka, RHUBARB and Strawberry Shortcake, and a Grilled jerk boneless Pork Loin served with a RHUBARB and dried Cherry Chutney. Hope to see you all at the Riverside and Dirty Martini Lounge this weekend!

We Dodged the Rain!

I am so excited, we dodged the rain today and it looks clear for our music tonight!  Local band from Preston, Houseblend is playing from 5p-9p.  Yeah,  its been such a rainy spring and FINALLY we don't have to cancel the band.
